"Out of Reach" is 2001 song by singer Gabrielle that featured on the Bridget Jones's Diary soundtrack and her greatest hits compilation Dreams Can Come True, Greatest Hits Vol. 1. It is the main ballad from the movie and was released as a single in 2001. It reached #4 in the UK and #9 in Australia, making it her second biggest hit in the country and also the thirty-seventh highest selling single of 2001. It remained on the chart there for more than twenty weeks. In New Zealand the song was the tenth most successful single of 2001. Louisa Gabrielle Bobb (born 16 April 1970; Hackney, London) is a multi-platinum selling, BRIT Award winning English singer, who records under the name Gabrielle. Her unconventional image includes short tight curls, and an eye patch on one of her eyes (she is not blind, but rather has ptosis, also known as "lazy eye"). Her debut single "Dreams" topped the UK Singles Chart in June 1993. Other notable singles include "Going Nowhere", "Give Me A Little More Time", "Walk on By" and "If You Ever" - a duet with East 17.
