"Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" is a song by United States hard rock band Aerosmith. It was released as the first of three singles from the Permanent Vacation album in 1987. The song talks about a male with an effeminate appearance, possibly a drag queen, who is mistaken for a female. Joe Perry came up with the chorus riff, and Tyler came up with the chorus refrain. Aerosmith is an American rock band, sometimes referred to as "The Bad Boys from Boston" and "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band."
