The song samples the 1986 hit "The Way It Is" by Bruce Hornsby and the Range. A sample of Bruce Hornsby singing the chorus of The Way It Is is used for the chorus of this song. Tupac Amaru Shakur, best known by his stage names 2Pac (or Pac for short) and Makaveli, was an American rapper and actor. Shakur has sold over 75 million albums worldwide as of 2010, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world. MTV ranked him at number two on their list of The Greatest MCs of All Time and Rolling Stone named him the 86th Greatest Artist of All Time.[3] His double disc album All Eyez On Me is one of the best selling hip hop albums of all time.
