"Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)" (or shortened to "Drops of Jupiter") is a Grammy Award winning song written and recorded by American rock band Train. It was released in February 2001 as the lead single from their second album Drops of Jupiter (2001). The song hit the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and also charting in the Top 40 for 29 weeks. Train is an American pop rock band from San Francisco, California. The band currently consists of a core trio of Pat Monahan (vocals), Jimmy Stafford (guitar), and Scott Underwood (drums). With a lineup that included original members Monahan, Stafford, Underwood, Rob Hotchkiss, and Charlie Colin, the band achieved mainstream success with its debut album, Train, which was released in 1998 with the hit "Meet Virginia".
